Open your Hearts for Hedge Funds Care Canada
The 10th annual Hedge Funds Care Canada gala took place this past Wednesday at Spice Route in Toronto. This year's event had a great turnout with over 200 attendees from the financial community - one of the largest on record. Due to the generous support of participants, over $180,000 in charitable donations and sponsorships will be distributed through grants to organizations locally which prevent and treat child abuse. To learn more about past and current grants in Canada, you can find descriptions of each program here. Now in its 10th year, the Canadian chapter has cumulatively raised almost two million dollars for the cause.
Hedge Funds Care Canada is part of a global organization which initially began in New York in 1998. From then, the organization has blossomed into an international nonprofit organization helping children and families in cities all over the world. To date, Hedge Funds Care has distributed over $33 million through more than 930 grants among its various chapters in Toronto, New York, San Francisco, Chicago, Atlanta, Boston, Denver, London, the Cayman Islands, Twin Cities, and Los Angeles. Last year alone, the organization provided help to almost 50,000 people through the following outlets:
I would like to thank the organization, and in particular, Corey Goldman and his team for both their efforts and for presenting Arrow with "The Award for Caring" (see below) at Wednesday's gala. Arrow is pleased and honoured to have supported the Canadian chapter since its inception 10 years ago. We look forward to continuing that support in the years to come!
